Two years ago, Karim Ouellet took the stage at Place d’Youville on a sunny afternoon to present songs from his first album, “Plume,” which went on to win the Quebec Indie Music Awards (GAMIQ) for best pop album of the year. At the time, festivalgoers knew very little about this young musician from Dakar.
This time is different. Critics adore Karim Ouellet’s multifaceted pop since the release of “Fox” last fall, and everyone is eagerly awaiting the second Festival appearance by this Quebecker by adoption.
